Can I extend my dumpster rental period?

How long can I keep my dumpster?

Our standard rental period is seven days beginning on the day the dumpster is delivered to your property. You can request an extension or early pickup via our online help form or contact customer service directly.

Do I need to be home when you deliver my dumpster?

We do not require your presence for the delivery or pickup of the dumpster. We recommend clearing any obstructions, debris, vehicles, etc. to make space for the delivery and pickup and make sure the dumpster is loaded properly to avoid additional charges.

Can I change my pickup time?

If you would like to change your dumpster pickup time you can request changes via our online help form or customer service line. We cannot guarantee exact pickup times. Please submit your request at least 24 hours in advance to allow ample time for scheduling.

Does the dumpster have a door?

Most of our standard and larger size roll-off dumpsters have doors. This allows for easy loading for larger items into the dumpster. If you plan on utilizing the dumpster door you will need to ensure you have ample space for opening and loading.

How high can I fill my dumpster?

To avoid additional charges and safely remove your dumpster, debris must not exceed the wall height of the dumpster. Overloaded dumpsters generally exceed weight limits and can cause damage to properties or be hazardous to other vehicles. If you think you will require extra dumpster space you can always schedule a swap out of the current dumpster.

What sizes of dumpsters are available?

Currently, we offer four dumpster sizes for rent: 10-yard, 20-yard, 30-yard, and 40-yard. The 10-yard and 20-yard dumpsters are generally suited for smaller projects and residential properties. If you’re renting for a commercial property we recommend renting 30-yard and 40-yard dumpsters. 

What can I put in a dumpster?

Most debris from household cleanouts and home improvement projects are allowed in a dumpster. Common items include: drywall, flooring, siding, tiles, fixtures, wooden furniture, cabinetry, household junk, clothing, etc. If you’re not sure whether or not you can dispose of specific items or materials you can always reach out to our customer service to answer your questions.

What can’t I put in a dumpster?

Most items you can’t put in a dumpster are either hazardous or pose a safety hazard. Some items you can’t put in a dumpster include: tires, paints and lacquers, car batteries, automobile fluids, oils and propane tanks, asbestos, and medical waste. If you’re not sure whether or not you can dispose of specific items or materials you can always reach out to our customer service to answer your questions.

Can I request a refund?

You can request a refund via our online help form or calling customer service directly. Full refunds and/or partial refunds are honored on a case by case basis at the discretion of QuickDumpsters.

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?

The cost to rent a dumpster varies by location and project details unique to each rental. Factors that determine pricing include location, dumpster size, debris weight, and length of your rental. We offer upfront pricing in our rental process to help avoid unexpected charges. Additional charges may be added for overloading your dumpster, blocking access to dropoff/pickup locations or including hazardous or other unacceptable materials to your dumpster.

What payment methods do you accept?

We process payments online or via our customer service line utilizing Stripe. We accept major credit cards including Visa, American Express and Mastercard.

Can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel your order please contact us via our online help form or customer service line. We require at least 24-hours notice to avoid additional charges and fees. For more information on cancellations please visit our Terms page.

Are there discounts available?

On occasion, we will offer special discounts and promos for new and existing customers.

Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster?

Most residential dumpster rentals do not require a permit when the dumpster is placed in your driveway or privately owned space. Streets, sidewalks, and other public property dumpster drop-offs will generally require a permit. Where should I place my dumpster?

The ideal placement for your dumpster is on a flat and hard surface like a paved or dirt driveway, parking lot, or street. We recommend avoiding steep hills or soft surfaces to allow for easier dropoff and pickup.

Can I put dirt in a dumpster?

You can put dirt in a dumpster. If you plan on loading your dumpster with a large amount of dirt we recommend reviewing the different dumpster sizes and max load capacities to avoid additional overload charges. 

What are the different types of dumpsters?

Depending on your project you will want to consider the different types of dumpsters. Front and rear load dumpsters are mainly for smaller projects. Currently, we only rent commercial and residential roll-off dumpsters in 10-yard, 20-yard, 30-yard, and 40-yard sizes.

Do I need a roll-off dumpster?

If you’re doing any major home cleanouts or construction chances are your project will require a roll-off dumpster to dispose of debris.
